Hyssop is an evergreen shrub growing up to two feet in height and spreading two to three feet. The purple-blue, occasionally pink or white flowers grow on dense spikes and bloom in summer. It has long been used for lung ailments like bronchitis and asthma and it has been shown to also have antiviral activity.
